GLAST is now set to launch Wednesday. The final Launch Readiness Review has approved the launch. You can watch the launch on Nasa tv which will start at 9:45 on Wednesday. The launch window is from 11:45-13:45. Usually launches happen at the start of the window. If it does not launch on Wednesday, then Thursday at the same hours becomes the launch window, and so on.
Alcohol, is there anything you can’t do?
I found this during my morning internet perusal. It seems more relevant for some (8a11s) than for others (me). Since caffeine is typically taken in liquid solution, I thought ‘drinky’ is the appropriate category.

This is easily the happiest I have ever heard Chris Hitchens sound in a column. It is, as one might expect, about booze. I do enjoy his usual spleen-filled contributions (c.f. God is not Great), though.
